「太陽光」の電力をオンサイトPPAでデータセンターに直送

2024年3月25日、東急不動産（本社：渋谷区、星野浩明社長）と北海道石狩市は太陽光発電を使った再エネ事業で協業する協定を結んだ。

「再エネ利用による持続可能なまちづくりに係る協定書」と呼ばれるもので、同市の石狩湾新港地域で進出が目覚ましいデータセンター（DC）への電力源として、東急不が出資の再エネ事業会社が、同地域内の「再エネ供給100％エリア」（REゾーン）に太陽光発電所を2カ所設置。

　また、送電には北海道電力の電力ネットワークには接続せず、自前の専用送電線で発電所とDCを直結した、いわゆる「オンサイトPAA（電力販売契約）」の方式で臨む。

　なお同市は、環境省が推進する「脱炭素潜航地域」の第1回選定自治体で、再エネの導入拡大には非常に熱心だ。

Tokyu Land Fully Supports Ishikari City’s “Zero Carbon City” Initiative

“Solar Power” Directly Delivered to Data Centers via Onsite PPA

On March 25, 2024, Tokyu Land Corporation (headquartered in Shibuya, President Hiroaki Hoshino) and Ishikari City, Hokkaido, signed an agreement to collaborate on a renewable energy project using solar power. 

The agreement, titled “Agreement on Sustainable Urban Development Utilizing Renewable Energy,” involves Tokyu Land’s renewable energy company setting up two solar power plants in the “100% Renewable Energy Zone” (RE Zone) of the Ishikari Bay New Port area to supply power to the rapidly growing data centers (DC). 

The power will be transmitted via a dedicated power line, bypassing Hokkaido Electric Power’s network, using an onsite PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) method.

 The city is a first-round selected municipality for the Ministry of the Environment’s “Decarbonization Leading Areas” and is keen on expanding renewable energy adoption.
